Heidi Marie Wien

Heidi Marie Wien's paintings are based on constructed and deconstructed rooms. Torn down walls, working lights and wires are what's left in the abandoned premises Wien explores. The painted room constructions are characterized by the absence and anonymity. Architecture is fragmented and dissolved, so that new abstract space occurs. The paintings give associations to Gordon Matta Clark┤s building sculptures.
