Rarely do we see an artist who so seamlessly blends humor, gravity, and meaning as Tom Erik Andersen.<\/strong> Andersen has developed a distinctive and recognizable style, with surrealistic motifs expressed through a clean and direct visual language. The titles of his pieces play an important role and can be seen as an integral part of the artwork itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the core of his work lies a central theme: humanity and the life we lead. He has exhibited extensively throughout Norway and internationally in cities such as New York, Chicago, Beijing, Stockholm, and Copenhagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In recent years, Andersen has completed numerous public art commissions. His works are featured in schools, hospitals, and various public institutions. He is also represented in numerous private corporate collections, as well as by collectors both in Norway and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2012, he was commissioned to create a full-scale decorative project for the Ambassador Hotel in Drammen. He also created a large-scale outdoor installation located in a roundabout on Highway 134 between Drammen and Kongsberg\u2014a 10-ton artwork that has become a local landmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His art has been featured in several professional journals, used as book covers, and on CD albums. Over 50 galleries in Norway represent his work.
